What we do:
Madison Media Group (MMG) is an independent, integrated production department with a global reach. Our team has worked with advertising agencies, production companies and on the client side. We have produced TV commercials, events, print advertising, digital executions and we certainly have produced a whole lot of what is now called "content." For more on our people, click here.
MMG's production service model is designed to adapt to the changing production needs of small and medium-sized agencies and brands. Because of our multi-faceted experience, we have a unique 360° skill set and can manage both the business side and the execution side of advertising concepts for global clients.
Our deep production experience on Madison Avenue is the underpinning of everything we do. We look to the old, to the new, and to the future to find ways to make your work great and produce within your budget.
Our model is designed to provide production support to advertising agencies and brands who do not have their own in-house production departments or who may just need additional support. Our professional services are always scalable, giving you options to cherry-pick how we can provide assistance.
Please see the questions and answers below to get a top-line idea of how we might help you.

How long has Madison Media Group been around and how did it get started?
Afsaneh Berjis founded the company four years ago in response to the need for ad-hoc production and business affairs support for small and medium-sized advertising agencies. The new agency model was beginning to focus exclusively on creative development with fewer full-service production departments. This created a need for a new production model. At the same time, Afsaneh received a request from a global client for direct-to-client business affairs management. MMG is currently working with this client's global advertising agency network; managing US production, talent residuals and global asset management.
Don't I just need a producer? What does a full-service in-house agency production department usually do?
You might only need a producer, and then again, you might need more support than that. Depending on the scale of your project, we can provide you with an experienced producer who would manage the soup-to-nuts of the production. We do this all the time with smaller projects.
However, if the client is big enough or the project is complex enough, the production and business affairs engagement would need to scale up to take into account the serious back-end management of the client's production dollars and business affairs. This would include "after production" tasks too, such as asset management or talent/music/photography renewals or trafficking spots to air for a new media buy.
Okay, so what does MMG do?
There are five teams that have historically been part of a full-service in-house advertising agency production department:
- Producers
- Business Affairs Managers
- Talent Managers
- Traffic Managers
- Network Clearance Managers
We manage any and all of the tasks that a full service in-house production department would handle. If you are not familiar with these tasks, please contact us and we can give you a more in-depth overview.
Can you give me examples of some of your services?
We can provide end-to-end production support for the life-cycle of your project(s) from creative development to final wrap-up and beyond. Or we can take on any one or any combination of the five advertising production roles - to help you do your best work while integrating with your in-house team.

What makes working with MMG different than just hiring freelancers for my production needs?
Our Team. We have been working together for a long time and have been working in the industry long enough to have resources, vendor relationships and contacts at our fingertips. You get a Madison Media Group producer and/or business manager and you get the full support of our team. We make sure that our staff can provide you with the best production results.
Our Experience. Our experience has taught us to slow down to go faster. With a lot of advertising happening these days in what seems like real time, the inclination is to move too fast and to make decisions too quickly based on limited information. This can have costly financial repercussions or potentially create a situation that causes damage to a client's reputation. Based on our experience, we put risk mitigation front and center of everything we do in production. We make sure we have walked through any and all potential risks tied to the creative and production execution before we move to the next step. We still make our deadlines and our clients have the right information in order to make educated decisions.
Our Adaptability. We pride ourselves on our ability to quickly integrate with your in-house teams while learning your best practices. We ramp up quickly and inline with your style of working.
How does your payment structure work?
It depends on what you need us to do. We can work on retainer, project basis, contract basis and even on a day rate or hourly rate depending on your project. We are extremely flexible and can work within your budget.
I see on the list of services you do onsite and remote production support. What if I need you to sit in my office to engage with my teams?
We can work offsite or in your office or a combination of both. It depends on your project parameters.
How long does it take for an agreement to be put into place? What if I suddenly need to engage your services?
We are very "fleet of foot" after years of managing all kinds of last minute production assignments. Just reach out and let us know what you need.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell me about Madison Media Group?
We know production.
